Have you ever had your IQ tested or its just mere numbers. Where can 8 get a more accurate result?

I did once at my friends collage, I thought test was unfair since it had English words in it.
But I think I had 140 score.
Suppose I did have high score. I still remember the feeling of resolving the questions.
That same feeling maybe good, but its not always your friend.
When I was self teaching math or simple programming for work, that same feeling was exhausting.
Suppose I had a simple problem, I would think million weird reasons, before coming to obvious/simpler solution.
Slowly I learned what could not be the solution.
So if thinking different scenario in short time is an asset, as it helps in iq tests, that same quality is not always your friend.

I've done a few online IQ Tests and each one gave me a different result.
Difficult to say which ones the most accurate.
Give Mensa a try.
