I think that what a kid does with what they have is a result of their mentorship and upbringing.
My kids have access to all these tech gadgets…iPhone, iTouch, iPad, etc. but they know very well that they cannot text, email or communicate with their friends without mom or dad being around. So when they use these, it’s for reading or games only. My older daughter, 9, uses her iPad for her journal and writing stories in addition to reading via Kindle apps.
I think what kids and even adults write is a representation of what they think, and what they think is a manifestation of what “goes in.”
