anyone got any recommendations. i dont have a huge collection so dont need a lot of space.
Re: ipod
u can get free IPOD here
Re: ipod
Oh Thanks!! Babakhaan… The US $ 300 that I was banking on getting from you were to buy an iPOD mini mini but this link is serving me just fine.
Re: ipod
iPod is overrated. Then again it controls 75% of US market, so you can be excused to think iPod is the only worthwhile player for your MP3 music collection.
Anyway, if iPod is what you want, then from Shuffle to Photo Player, you can get an iPod for a wide range of memory options: from 512MB to 40/60 GB. Jitna gurh dalo ge oonee shakar. Since you don’t need a huge hard disk space, so I’d recommend iPod Mini (4 MB). I’d stay awy from Shuffle due to no display and pretty much making you play blind.
However, if you want more bang for the buck and more functionalities, then check out this link for some worthwhile iPod killers.
Re: ipod
lollypop_man: If you do not want a lot of space and don't shy away from Sony, Sony's PSP is an excellent media player as well. It does not come with any bulit-in storage but takes Memory Stick.
Re: ipod
yup, wat Faisal said.
iPos just became mainstream but not the best thing. Xpandable memory options is maybe the best way to go. Although go with that takes "SD Card" because that media is cheaper than STICKS.
Re: ipod
If you are in Ontario, sign up for TD chequing account and you will recieve one for free ;) better than what babakhan suggested i guess :) poor baba :p
Re: ipod

khair, muft ki cheezoon per complain nahi kerna chahyee :)
I told TD should've given free beryani! would have been more popular!
Re: ipod
PrinceMS you are a paito, do u think of something else beside eating. Yes, u shouldn't be complaining about that :p; although, I haven't got one, but I am marketing for them :D
Re: ipod
I was in love with my 80GB Ipod photo untill a couple of weeks ago when I read that Ipod are releasing an Ipod Video towards the end of the year, just in time for the xmas market.
Re: ipod
where can my niece download free MP3's for her new ipod?
Re: ipod
Depends on what kind of music she wants. If she wants Pakistani music, then www.pakmusic.com (free registration) is the best place for MP3 downloads. If she is more interested in English songs, which are likely copy-protected, then the legal way of downloading is through the itunes.com online music store (not free, ofcourse, but very cheap). I don’t know the newest hip places to download Indian MP3 songs, cz I don’t download them myself. I am sure someone can come along shortly and guide you for that as well, if you are interested in Indian songs.
Re: ipod
She's looking for free English music.
And she is only 13 so even the 0.99 is not in her budget.....
any other options?
Re: ipod
All this IPod hype is just that, hype. Archos has been doing multi-gig devices for ages. They have the video on the go and the smallest 20gb mp3 player even before ipod was a twinkle in Jobs’s eyes:

I own the AV380 which is the 1st generation Archos video player with 80 gb of drive space.

Re: ipod
does anyone know the release date of iPod video?
Re: ipod
Its not even official. Everything that you have heard about the iPod video is just speculation. If they actually have such a thing as ipod "video" than they would have released it in their Paris Expo when they released the Nano (sexy) and ROKR (crappy).
And most people (like me) don't need their mp3 players to play videos so Archos is really not necessary. Ipods are really slick and sexy and easy to use for people who just want to listen to their music on their mp3 players and not end world poverty with it.
