...IPod Question...

It must be a piece of cake question for most of you, but I am not much into Ipods, that’s why I have to ask this easy question.

I have an Ipod. It is not brand new. It was used. It came with everything but the charger and software/manual. I have bought the charger (which also transfers the songs from PC to Ipod). It is charging right now but how do you download songs to it? Is there a software that you have to use because it didn’t come with any? Can you download that software from the web?

:help:

Re: …IPod Question…

Go download iTunes.

Re: …IPod Question…

You are cool :k:

I’ve downloaded it and let me play with it and hopefully I’ll figure out how to download and transfer songs. Thanks.

Re: …IPod Question…

So what else is left? Just the iPod!! :mudhosh:

Re: ...IPod Question...

hahahaha.........actually it was the Ipod, headphones, radio thing, stereo converters and all that junk that you normally don't need. The most important things were missing. Dad got it from someone, go figure.

Re: …IPod Question…

Re: …IPod Question…

Ok. I have ITunes installed and the songs are added there in the library. How the heck do I send it over to the Ipod :frusty:

Re: ...IPod Question...

why don't u ask sara516 I think she has an Ipod......and if anyone knows how to put songs on a cell phone with an MP3 player let me know....

Re: ...IPod Question...

Shikra,

Go into iTunes menu system to add your iPod. I don't have it installed in this computer, but if you are still having the problem, we can hook up once I am at home.

Piyari83, depends on what phone do you have. The one I have uses SD card to store music, and I just pop the card into my computer's card reader/writer and copy songs directly. Otherwise, a sync cable or, even just emailing/MMS the song to your phone may do the trick.

Re: …IPod Question…

:hoonh: No soliciting in this thread :nono:

Hmmmmmm…I’ll ask Sara. Thanks.

Re: ...IPod Question...

Faisal payi, I am unable to find it. I see you online on MSN. If you are not too busy, maybe we can talk there?

Re: ...IPod Question...

Did someone mention me? :-|

Re: …IPod Question…

Yes. I thought of you

So now help me, please.

Re: …IPod Question…

I think i accidentally sent u an email when i was trying to add u to my MSN messenger…

Im so flattered u thot of me

Okay so u jus gotta connect ur ipod to the computer with the cable thinggy that came with it (or u bought secondhand)… itunes shud pop up automatically and all the songs will be uploaded

Re: …IPod Question…

Didn’t get your e-mail nor any invitation. Try again or PM me your e-mail.

I got it. The name of the Ipod was already in the list but it was still under the old name and I was looking for the new name. I’ve transferred the songs now and it’s working. Thanks :k:

Re: …IPod Question…

I have nokia 6260…and I know it has a memory card besides that not sure. And it doesn’t have any cables or anything. If u know abt how to download stuff on that phone let me know…thanks.

Re: ...IPod Question...

Hmmm... 6260 has a 6 MB internal memory, which is obviously not gonna cut it to save songs. So, your best bet is to use the MMC (Multimedia card).

Not sure how much free space u have remaining on the 32MB MMC they provide with the phone. You may just want to get another MMC to store your songs.

And once you have an MMC, use the card reader/writer to move songs from your computer to the MMC. If you don't already have a card reader in your computer (most new ones do), then you can buy it for $5-10 from an electronics store. They plug right into the USB port and show up as a drive in Windows Explorer. Copy music files through usual drag-and-drop.

Check your phone's manual. You may have to create a folder within the card titled /Audio/ or /Music/ for the phone to know where to get the music file from.

By the way, this phone usually comes with a USB cable and Nokia PC Suite on a CD. You should be able to transfer music files into your phone using these as well.

Re: ...IPod Question...

I have Sony Ericsson T610...is there anyway that i can attach an MMC or SD card with it somehow so i can carry music on it? I just recently lost my MP3 player and later on my old CD Player so now i have nothing left that can play music on the go. My phone only has 2mb of internel memory so the most i can listen to is a song of a minute at most.
