Re: iPod nano or…?
faizy, how small is the Samsung device for which you’ve provided the link for? Is it available at the FutureShop, if so, how much does it cost?
Ansoon, bhai if that was the case, I wouldn’t have returned iPod nano to begin with. I wasn’t at all impressed, so I ended up returning and going for Sony MP3 player, which I’m only going to have to return, as it does not play all my MP3s. Zen is simply ugly. :yukh:
Re: iPod nano or…?
Sadiyah. You might have been possessed by the beauty of the nano but keep this in mind: NEVER BUY AN ELECTRONIC GADGET SOLELY FOR ITS LOOKS. Unless all you want from it is ‘coolness’ rather than usability. My advice like everyone else here would be to stay away from it.
Here’s my general criteria when i go out shopping.
Keep looks till the very end. Only when 1 and 2 are satisfied then go for looks.
Have a look at these: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=15
You can also visit Tiger Direct at 8401 Woodbine Ave., Markham. Their return/exchange policies are a bit stringent but you cannot beat them in value. I often buy stuff from a similar electronics outlet (Factory Direct) and their products are just as reliable and durable.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
Re: iPod nano or…?
Captain Lota, I’m not possessed by iPod nano’s looks or charms.
I find it chappoo looking in fact. Just that Zen Micro is too fat and ugly and when compared the ratings for the two, both iPod nano and Zen Micro rated more or less the same.
I’m more possessed by Sony MP3 player’s looks and charm, but unfortunately, it won’t play all of my MP3 files for me. ![]()
Honestly, if I can find a small, decent player, I’ll go for it. I find iPod nano to be over-priced.
My criteria right now is:
TigerDirect is a good option, but I’m an impulsive shopper and parents would be very annoyed if I keep going back to return the audio players.
Intro me to some decent players and I’ll be more than happy to change my mind, insha’Allah.
Re: iPod nano or…?
hmmm.. just searched best buy canada, tigerdirect canada, and futureshop.. the SPECIFIC model isnt carried.. and crappier and more pricey items with lower battery life are in ..
hmmm.. weird.. guess i will hang on to this one ![]()
Re: iPod nano or...?
How about the Motorla/Apple iTune cell phone? Dual purpose and sounds so good.
Re: iPod nano or...?
ipof phone is a bit crap in comparison to other handsets. Been a sales disapointment in UK. IMO the best all round handset including playback of MP3's is the K750i - others prefer the W800i known as the wlakman phone. Technically it's the same hardware with just the option of using standard earphones rather than Sony Ericsson connector.
Re: iPod nano or...?
I already have a cell phone and cannot afford another one. Therefore, mp3 cell phones are out of the question.
Following is the website you folks can use to make some suggestions: FutureShop Mp3 Players
