What’s better? Regular Ipod, Ipod Nano, Ipod Video, or Ipod Shuffle? What’s a good memory size for a regular user?
Also, I heard that the after a while the battery can cause problems…ie really bothersome to send it back and get a replacement. Is it worth it? How long does the battery last?
It depends, do you want to watch videos on it or not? And whats the budget?
I would say go for the 4 GB nano. Its just been released and its cheaper then the video aswell i believe 200 dollars or something? If you think you are going to use video options go for the 30 GB ipod video.
it depends on what you want the Ipod for - listening to music, watching videos..
and how much of each you've got.
my sis has a 2GB nano..it can hold up to 250 songs..it's pretty good. she's had it for almost a year now, and the battery still works fine, and the Ipod hasn't been giving her any problems.
when i got it for her though i thought that 250 songs was a lot, and now it doesn't seem so much, cause you accumulate so much crap and keep adding on instead of cleaning out your playlist.
anywho, i'm rambling - point being see what you need it for and how much space you're gonna need. and then go from there.
There was a work experience boy at our work place the other day and he was telling me that you can compress music files so that you can put more songs on your ipod. I guess there is some programme which you need to download from the web to do this but i don't know which one it is YET. If you find it before me then do let me know! x
I been using these iPod series from the start........
%%%%%%%% they knows its addictive, thats why they keeping releasing new models.......
So far I like iPod Shuffle..............:D
Get it one ...........
ok so im not a big fan of watching a video on a 3 inch screen. so the iopd video is out. i was just thinking that since it's a video one you could do more with it than say an ipod nano.
i looked at the albums and songs i have on my comp, and turns out that the size of half of my collection is almost 2 gb. so that means that the 2 gb ipod (for which i had money) is out. so on to the next size.
nice to hear that the battery life isn't as scary as i thought i would be. that's good.
i dont feel like compressing my music files. :O
oh also...ipod nano vs ipod shuffle. pros and cons plz! :D
i say get a zen touch... ipods are so overrated :p... but if you still want pros and cons of nano and shuffle, ive got a con for shuffle :D u cant see what song u're playing... for me that would be a complete pain... nano looks better as well... especially in black...
yeah the 2 GB ipod oenst’ actually fit 2GB of stuff, more like 1.7
And i think u shud get the 4 or 8 GB nano, the shuffle, as far as i know, is not big enuff to hold 2gb of stuff..
Ipod is the biggest gimmick that Apple has probably released. All that money just to listen to mp3s. Guys, I know its slick & kool, but look at the reliability. If the battery dies out, u cannot get it replaced, u have to send it back to the factory, which is as good as buying a new pod, coz that is what it costs.
There are better players from creative & others, just hunt around. Wait till MIcrosoft also releases its new mp3 player, it might well give Apple a run for their money, although history has proven that all of MIcrosofts hardwares were a big failure.
^^ that's what i was thinking too. that it's just the shiny and the name of ipod that is attractive. warna to i'm ok with the cheap kind. as long as it lasts me my money's worth.
and thanks for the names of the other 2 mp3 players. I heard before that the zen one's good. just wasn't sure about it. and the microsoft...i dunno...it's microsoft. know what i mean?
