Yes, in a nutshell that is what it boils down to. Historically whenever peaceful overtures have been made by India, we have been stabbed in the back. 1999 Kargil and 26/11 Mumbai are two recent incidents that come to mind. Can you dispute that fact ?

Also remember that things havent exactly normalized since 26/11. Pak govt has been playing the blame game on 26/11 and is yet to act against the masterminds. Why would any sane businessman in his right senses spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get a Pak player who may or may not play when they can get talent from other countries ? Imagine how a Mumbai Indians fan would respond to a Pak player playing for his team, when certain other Pak “players” are carrying out 26/11 style attacks in his city ?

Its pretty easy to play the victim here, but keep in mind that the anti-India state policy of Pak is mostly to blame here.

If all this had happened and I am sure you are not the only one to know about the “terrible” Pakistan than why did they put their names on the list or didnt they know about all this at the time and you sent them an email one day before the bidding to inform them of the “terrible” Paksitan.

As I said before the atitude being displayed is “that India can do no wrong and we will defend it at all costs, regardless”. Displaying such blatant anti Pakistan feelings India is not mostly but totally to be blamed here.
