This is just so confusing. There is software unlocking and then there are so many types of hardware unlocking consisting of so many different types of SIMS: TurboSim, Stealthsim, Next Sim. too much.
From what I’ve understood the best way to unlock an Iphone is hardware technique because it does not make changes to the firmware. Software make changes to firmware or otherwise that render the warranty to become void.
Can someone explain differences between these different types of SIMs or at least point in the right direction.

software hacks, from what I've read, make changes to the firmware which voids the warranty. I don't think I would want to take that risk on a phone that is still not so common. I mean it is not exactly a Razr - right? The hardware chip can be bought from anywhere between $25 and $45 on Ebay. When used properly this chip aligned with the GSM chip fools the phone into thinking that its not doing anything illegal. Software isn't changed and the hardware is only given a boost. Thus the warranty doesn't get nullified. Better to spend a few bucks, thats my opinion.
So anyone here who can answer my question? Thanks again.
