iphone and android

what is the difference between iphone and android technology?

Re: iphone and android

iOS is owned by apple, while android is supported by Google.

You cant say them technology, but most appropriate term is operating system.

iOS uses objective c as development language, while android is developed in java language.

at the end of the day, if you are using apple iphone, you will stick with apple store. or if you are using adroid then you will use google app store.

so yes, there is no much difference between these two technologies except the quality of application in each store.

Re: iphone and android

Android is all about choice,

iPhone - One manufacture, one hardware, one screen size, one user interface and limited choice with basic application and themes.

Android - Hundreds of manufacture with hundreds of hardware and multiple screen size choice, hundreds of user interface and basic apps to chose from.

P.S: i dont work for google or any other Android partner, but i like choice.

Re: iphone and android

You should describe the context of this question. There are a lot of different ways this can be answere.

Re: iphone and android

iPhone is a Phone and Android is an Operating system . Totally two different things .

So either you wanted to ask the difference between iOS and Android , or may be iPhone and Samsung (any phone that have Android installed on it)

He’s a politician as I said above

Re: iphone and android

iphone unless you like a lot of knobs and settings, 90% of which are useless to you, or would be worse than the default option.

Re: iphone and android

The difference that I know between apple and any other android platform phone is that when apple says they will deliver a new os version they will do it rather than depending on the phone company. In android that responsibility is of the phone carrier.

Re: iphone and android

Having used both, I'd say they're both great. I like Android for the large selections and flexibilities of apps. Lots more setting options so you can really personalize your device. For people who don't like or care for so much detail, the iphone is just fine...doesn't make it bad, but limited sort of.

Re: iphone and android

I never realized some people would bash Samsung or Android because its gaining popularity. I don't remember anyone bashing iphones.

Re: iphone and android

Iphone is a Walled Garden.....Look but dont touch, ok touch but only how i tell you to touch.
Android is a freeforall smoking hippy community, your guy standing on the street..winks at you..asks you to let him know if you need anything...

Re: iphone and android

:hehe: That’s funny but I see what you mean.

And by "if you need anything" if you thought I meant unlocking boot loaders and being addicted to trying Roms you'd be right!
now where did I leave that syringe...

Re: iphone and android

So are you telling us you are a hippy aka Android phone user?

Most definitely. Rocking android from the old Google G1 days...
And enjoying some jelly bean goodness right now:)

Re: iphone and android

I had the G1 too. Then I switched to iphones. Loving my S3 now. And yes, JellyBean on N7 is awesome.

I still have my g1. Maybe it will be a collectable one day....

Project butters was awesome! Worked a treat.

Re: iphone and android

android is like windows in the pc world, but a crappier system that is probably? coming of age now compared to windows. I had the galaxy s1 and the gps was slower (took 10 minutes to calibrate using an app) compared to my ipod. Google really needs to get its $HIT together..
