Ammi has an iPhone 4S that has a self-cut Fido SIM. Self cut yaani it was a regular SIM card before and I chopped it off to fit in the iPhone 4s
iPhone 4S + SIM combo worked fine for months, until yesterday. The phone no longer recognizes the SIM card
If I put that SIM card in another phone - it works.
If I put my personal Fido SIM in ammi’s iPhone 4S - it works.
Both the phone and SIM are tested to work fine. It’s just they do not like each other anymore.
Is this even possible?
I will go out and get a new SIM for ammi after work today. Any other solutions for this?
Other troubleshooting done so far - reset the phone to factory settings - without luck.

Try cleaning the circuit side of SIM card with rubbing alcohol and let it dry for few mins abd then check

Sometimes, just like husbands and wives don't get along with each other but get along with everyone else, same phenomenon happens with SIMs and the phones they've been married to.
The simplest explanation is usually the most accurate one :)

Jee haan and divorce was the only option :( Got another husband/wife for this wife/husband from Fido and they click just fine :D

I didn't upgrade to the S5 from the S4 as there weren't too many changes. Currently I'm using the OnePlus One.

Yes, At times, much the same as spouses and wives don’t coexist with one another yet coexist with others, same wonder happens with Sims and the telephones they’ve been hitched to.
