My bil lives in the UAE and as my hubby is going over soon he gave us his budget to purchase him an Ipad, we got the Ipad 2 for him. We have been trying to set it up but his card details from the UAE are not working with itunes. At the moment we have set up my hubbys account to get it going and hubby is hoping that my bil can change the detailS over there but i am not sure. I don’t think it makes a difference where in the world you set up it won’t work if the details are not accepted. Could it be because the banks currency is dirhams? How can be overcome this?

You can create an apple id without credit card info

Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card

We already created his ID, if we follow instructions in the link we need to create a new ID, can we not use the existing one but not add credit ca info?

Thanks for the link i managed to sort it out. We can install apps without the need for credit card.
