Not me - just got the new iPad a few months ago. Not sure the mini is a good value at $ 329 up since you can get the new iPad (3rd gen) in the $400 + range.

Although the product seems pretty good, with a tablet and a kindle, I just don't have the need for a mini. Besides, it's kinda overpriced but that's just Apple for ya.

They priced it too high in the UK (£269.99 - U.S Price when converted = £206.95 approx.). No one bar religiously obsessive fans of Apple will buy it at that price when they could get a Nexus 7 with better features £100 cheaper. And Apple raised the price by £60 merely for the reason that it is the UK. The iPad mini would naturally live or die by its price,Apple got this one wrong. If they'd have reduced the price by just £50 they would have had a sell-out.

Lilly, I agree. That is a very high price. Even in USA, $329 is a very high price for a 16GB, 7 inch tablet.

price should also be mini for iPad mini... unfortunately it is not.
although specs wise its a good device. competition for tabs of this size.

The release of the iPad mini was expected and they will make money on it.
But what really annoys me: 3 weeks after I bought a new iPad, they release an upgraded version of it.

Its good device for books and web surfing, perfect size, but the price, its still expensive than most of the competition. On the larger tablet space ipad sells almost the same price category as the android tablets, so its a much better choice, but on the smaller tablet space Nexus 7, Tab 2 7 or Kindle fire HD are much better choice.
It looks more like Not I than Note II (Note I has the Square edge, while Note II has rounded edge like S III)
And the new one has a much better CPU+GPU, 32nm A6X , with twice the performance of A5X

I've been handed the short end of the stick again by Apple. I remember buying the Ipod nano and then Apple released the iPod touch with retina display. I bought the Macbook Pro 3 months ago 13" and now they release macbook pro 13" with retina display and .77mm thinner :O. I'm afraid if i buy the ipad mini they're going to release some super aweosme ipad mini that has the ability to slay dragons and then i'm gonna be left out on all the cool action once more. I don't know what to do.

lol why not a laptop, if you're gonna carry around a keyboard. But the whole tacky tile interface is a bit odd.

That is true. I bought Ipad 1 and then in 3 weeks they announced Ipad 2. They had me exchange with no fuss/.

So then why do u carry around a macbook pro when you have to carry a keyboard when u can lug a iMac with the awesome screen. They have bags with separate pockets for the lovely BT keyboard and the magic mouse even.
