i want to own a tablet. i don’t have any right now. thinking to get ipad air. what do u guys think about it?
or if you could suggest me any other tablet?

It depends what will you use it for. I am a big Apple fan, but unfortunately, I would ask you to go for an android tablet, maybe Samsung

My sister has a galaxy tab 2 (the 7 incher) and boy does it get spam from this ad service that is native to the OS.

I know that you can "root" and install ROMs but how can I advise it to tech noobs when I have myself bricked my phone once? Sorry, samsung doesn't get my vote.

These days I am leaning towards a Windows 8 tablet (OS was made for them..) that can run flash and you can do useful stuff like type documents in word and actually answer emails in client which I was unable to do in line editing in android or even iOS due to formatting issues.

I have both iPad and galaxy 10 inch abd they are both great but web browsing experience is better on android tablet. Plus the fact that I send movies and videos to my dropbox and can download to my tablet storage tip watch offline when I am traveling. You can't do that with Apple.

I am not a big fan of Windows os.

Nexus 7 is also a great tablet. I have that too

You can do that with windows and a lot more. Dell and Lenovo have some good Win 8 tablets though I am still waiting for the things to settle down there

Hehe. No it’s just that during some high on red bull moment, I decided to have one tablet per person of our household, so we have four. 2 iPads, one Samsung 10 inch, and one nexus 7.

As I mentioned in my previous post about having four tablets; maybe I should sell one on eBay and get a Windows tablet.

Good screen size good processor. Ipadair is kinda gaming pad. Light weight approx 1lb.

But More customization options available in android tabs.

Do you want 10 inch our 7 inch? If you can afford, I would recommend 10 inch one. Both Samsung tab 3 and Google nexus have good reviews.

If you want to go for non android then definitely go for iPad air.

Biggest challenge with widows os is lack of apps.

I'll go for nexus 7 or note 10.1
Android is more friendly than iOS, easy to use n easy to download apps

That's not a bad price at all.
They're probably last year's models though. There was a heck of a change this year. With the 323 ppi screen you see the world in a new light (no pun intended) and much better camera too.

I got one, its very light and fast. Also screen quality is on par with IPhone 5s.
Speakers are good.

But if you are kind a geek then go for high-end android tablet.
