Naseem Ashraf is back in his office, as his resign was not accepted. So Inzy need to continue leading Pak in ODIs and retire at some moment when team has recovered from WC exit and when it is suitable for a player of his calibre.

Nasim Ashraf is back on his position cause the presdient of Pakistan don't feel that as the acting chair person of PCB, Naseem is responsible for Pakistan's early exit from the WC.

I think Inzi should go gracefully. Even if he failed with his WC campaign, he still has respect for the overall contribution he made to Pakistan cricket. I sincerely hope he doesn't think like Tendulkar.

Umer saab, we know your sublime sarcasm. We had a poll and long discussion in January regarding Inzi's stepping down after WC, no matter what the results of WC should be. You can see KK's comments there.

This is not sarcasm, brother. I agree with you all and in fact Inzy was going to retire after this WC, but don't you think after an unexpected exit, Inzy can lead Pakistan for some time for the good of pakistan cricket.

I think the only thing Inzy can and should lead from now on is prayers in Multan. His Captaincy tenure is over and long over-due. As far as test matches go, I doubt he'll make it into the side with his current form and fitness. So this may very well be the end of Inzy the player.

But after serving Pakistan for so many years as one of the best players and captains, he has some work left on his end and that is to lead a strong team for his successor and at least he can lead Pakistan to that moment.

Best captain :) I can only smile on this one. We need to revamp the side with energy and fresh approach. With YK and Malik in the team, I don't think Inzi makes even a half a candidate for captaincy. He has served the country, but in the current crises, we need to look for future.

That was one of the best players and captains. So you can say one of the captains, though the overall results were not that bad with Inzy leading this team.
Anyhow, even if Inzy's decission is firm, there is no reason in promoting YK as a captain though his position in ODIs is more justified as Inzy is not out there. Otherwise Malik delivered better than him as one-down. With his pace, intelligence and aggressive-ness Akhtar is the best option to lead Pakistan.
But it will be better for Inzy and Pak if he can lead this side for some time and leave a better recovered team for his successor.
