Murder is a very serious matter and it is not the time to close ranks. Everyone must speak freely and honestly. Supporting the team and players is one thing. Closing your eyes and trying to cover-up for them is another.

Yes, Khan sahib sud have said or done something when he was in charge but chose not to, thus shares some of the blame.
Too much time on the mat or attending religious sermons when they sud have been practicing in the nets or playing cricket as paid professionals. Players with flowing beards cud not resist playing poor shots indicates lack of preparation, no motivation or passion to play for the country. The mind was somewhere else OR Money exchanged hands and they threw these matches. Take your pick.
What you need to understand is that buck does not stop at Inzamam, but he is only one who went under the bus after World Cup and other losses and people like Shahrayar Khan find it convenient to bad mouth when they are gone and relinquish themselves from any responsibility from the disaster. Why did we perform so badly in the World Cup? It has nothing to do with being religious rather incompetence of the board. The ineptitude can be described in two ways;
Misusing the talent. From day one players like Malik, Akmal, Sami and Afridi were distorted, they were put in the position where they do not belong and whenever they went through a lean patch, no guidance was giving to help them. Australian players go through lean patch too, Hayden who just hit a magnificent hundred against South Africa, was basically a dead beat during 2005 Ashes. The board noticed it, they did not sack him or anything, rather gave him the time, space to be his best. Right now, he is just that.
Second is addressing the problem from start. We knew after ’03 World Cup that Pakistan needs reliable openers and it will not happen over night. Also, to groom new generation of fast bowlers and spinners because they are the reason we win matches. How much time did board officials spent in addressing it? They just took solace in Akhtar once in a while appear from injury list and Kaneria, but he alone cannot get it done.
Putting blame is the easiest thing to do and understanding the whole picture is something else. Not every player is Javed or Imran, we will see a lot of captains with many problems and there always be a void that needs to be filled. This is where Board Officials come into the picture.

Khan resigned in October 2006, how can u blame him for the worldcup debacle? Yes his timing is unfortunate and I agree with u on his lack of managment when it was most needed.
Team selected and groomed was Inzimam's fifteen, that has been confirmed by many other sources that includes Imran Khan. Even the late Woolmer had problems with Inzimam on team training and grooming which is evident from Khan's article.
Main responsibility for the defeat in worldcup matches lies with the captain and playing eleven. Board officials and selection committee share some responsibility but real problem lies with the captain which is visible to all. Personally, I wud like all of them kicked out, but a good start will be the dumdum captain.

That is exactly what I am trying to tell you, the board, selection committe had no strategy in mind and they took solance in whatever captain says...some planning. Moreover, they just looked over whatever coach and captain had disagreements and let it go. Khan does take the blame for World Cup debacle, because his decisions led us to World Cup 15. Naseem was just merely there for four months and despite knowing the problems he did nothing.
