Ricky Ponting and Inzamam, they both are fabulous players. It doesn't really matter what people think of them later but what matters is their service to their country and both are doing it the best they can. I'm sure Inzi is not the best captain but for sure, he's doing the best for Pak team. Just like people don't know much about BoyCott(only that he's a superb commentator with a super Yorkshire Accent), but people regard him highly so is the case with these people. 50yrs from now, people might know Inzi or Ponting but what they did to their homeland is memorable for ever.

Inzi is the best batsman Pakistan has ever had, but almost worst and yet lucky captain to have the pool of players that we have now + Mian Bob Sahib. Will Pakistan be able to win WC’07? Will Pakistan be able to beat Australia… I have my own reservations we can discuss them in a separate thread.
Inzi is a horrible captain...captaincy is not as important in winning matches as some people may suggest ..it comes down to talent in the side..fleming is the best captain but his team sucks
Yes, it really doesnt matter how good you are as a captain if your team sucks.
However it does matter if you have a good pool of talented player but a captain who sucks .
A good captain of talented players is something which gives a side, edge over other talented sides and makes them world champion.
