Afridi is only 23 years old and he's in the top ten, if he plays for next 10 odd years he might just become the highest one day scorer overall.

Inntresting…

so…in 7 yrs Afridi made 3400 runs. Today Highest score is 11000.So that rate Afridi will have to play another 14 yrs to reach 11000

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/wink.gif

. But till then the guy who has the record of 11000 might have taken it to 20000 becose he has also 10 yrs of cricket left in him.

Afridi is more suitable for baseball than cricket. tullay har waqt nahi chaltay..and believe me, he is not a batsman...his average is around 24, batsmen usually have an average double to that

You never know, what can happen to any player, one day he can be the best batsman in the world and couple years later he is out of the race for that spot, the way Wasim was taking wickets when Pakistan toured England in 93, I remeber Geoffery Boycott saying that he may go well over 600 test wickets, and that is not the deal right now.
Please don't kill me AQ, i know how sachin is a god to you people, it was just a comment.

Umair Bhai if Afridi is playing for Pakistan in ten years time, it will mean that Pakistan is a very desperate team trying to find a decent batsmen to replace tulley baaz like Afridi. Heavens forbid.

OH comeon guys, Afridi is not that bad, he has played some really important innings for Pakistan, if it wasn't for him we may not even have reached the finals in Sharjah.
And I strongly think that Afridi will change just like Shoaib has changed his bowling techtics.

It should be shameful for the Pakistani batsmen to see Wasim's name there on the list...
he also a tulla baaz

Yeah he's not a bad batsman BUT he need to have his head down like he did against NZ if he can't do that I don't think he'll be able to survive.

Plus you guys should have listen to Gen. Tauqir Zia's interview in the sharjah final. He said they are building a cricket academy in Pak like the one in Australia and there are already so many new commer knocking the door of PCB for a chance. So if any player not performing well may likely be droped and we will certainly give new commers a chance to perform.
