I met this Gori while I was jogging at the park, we didn’t know each other and she began to keep pace with me, she initiated some small talk about the weather (it was cloudy), I continued the conversation and it got a bit flirty. She’s a year younger then me and went to a christian high-school and goes to a private christian collage. After the jog we stopped and chatted for 5-10mins, conversation was light, humored and very respectful, she gave me her number. It’s been a while since I was involved in any relationship (no one after my stint in Singapore), I don’t think I’ll find a rishta through traditional means given my tumultuous past. But I’m having conflicting thoughts, I am a Muslim, I pray 5 times a day, and I worship one god, is it wrong to see this girl (I don’t plan to do anything sexual), just to see if you would be a suitable partner? The girl is well educated and has a year to go until the completion of her engineering degree, she was fit and it was obvious she took care of herself, she was raised with religion and morals and choose to go to a religious school over a public university and stays with her parents (most girls who live on campus are bound to put out), She wasn’t bothered by the fact I’m a Muslim (She asked about where I was from and asked if I was Muslim). I’m confused, I’m having conflicting thoughts and its not fun being alone (having had quite a few relationships, you begin to miss female company when all your buddies are a bore and you can only play so much air hockey), what your take guys/gals?
Re: Involved with a Gori
Do elaborate on the Singapore stint my dear man.
Re: Involved with a Gori

Not marrying but seeing if she's right, then getting to know her better, obviously the end result would be marriage, being a good Muslim means you don't go for one night stands.

So why dont you do exactly that? Get to know her first and then decide whether you want a future with her or not. IMO now is not the time. Who knows maybe she herself backs out?
Re: Involved with a Gori
what does she think of garam masala and haldi?
Re: Involved with a Gori
Please go ahead and get to know her better. This might spare us from reading your blog of a post here. And please no updates, promise? :D

Your thinking to far ahead now, that'll be saved for a later occasion. :p
Re: Involved with a Gori

I gave her a call and were going for coffee on Friday. I guess I'm concerned culturally and religiously, I remember a friend telling me it's wrong to get involved with people who aren't Muslim, well my argument is theirs very few Muslims here in the first place and I'm not going to go bachi hunting in Pakistan. But I'm also worried if my peeps find out about this will I once again be castrated from the community?
Re: Involved with a Gori
Ask your mum and see what she thinks. She might like the idea of having gorey grandkids

Again that's what I said in my last post, I don't want to give her a culture shock now do I? Kharia gosht will be saved for a later occasion.
Re: Involved with a Gori
yeahh… I’ll let her know if it works out. But on separate note, aren’t half desi/gorey kids the cutest
?

Two questions:
1. How do you chat with someone when you're jogging? You'd be out of breath and sweating.
2. Namazees can have crushes too. It's pretty normal if you're a human.
Re: Involved with a Gori
you don't believe his story, niksik? :O
Re: Involved with a Gori
^ Conversation whilst jogging is only an issue when you're out of shape. Me and my dad used to jog for about 3 miles everyday, and we'd have a continuous convo throughout. This was about 2 years ago...now, I can't even say 'stop' all together when running. It comes out as "st...gasping for air....ST...more gasps....STOP....fall over"
Anyways...totally off-topic. =/
