You can make a dish of cantalop or water melon

dont u think she would have a lot of food herself? You can;t eat much during ramzaan anyway so more food will just eventaully get wasted or lie in the fridge. It isn;t a one-dish deal is it? Take her a gift instead.

Y'day I was invited for a very informal iftar (considering this aunty told me at 3 that we should have iftari with them) so I just took dhai baray, pakoray, and brownies with me since I was going to do for our iftar at home anyway. Everyone appreciated it... so I think you can just make some snacks or a dish to take along.

take a fruit basket that always comes in handy, or make a basket of baked goodies my friends always love when i bake for them. if you can't think of anything else take flowers for the host i'm sure she'll appreciate that :)

It doesn't have to be something edible, chances are that if they are inviting guests for Iftari then your host will have ample supplies of pretty much everything.
