Re: Invitations ruined.
That's why I tell people to get them done locally, so you can have proofs before going to print.
I'm sure there are some local invitation boutiques in the UK
I design wedding invitations but I'm based in the US. If you need help with ideas, just PM me
Re: Invitations ruined.
If it was me, I'd demand they reprint free of charge or give me back my money.
Re: Invitations ruined.
cupcake get them to reprint it!
wedding cards here in the UK if you want nice ones the flashy kind are over £5 per card. I spent about £11 per card and spent over £1000 ( split in half with in-laws) as i did all my shopping in london.
i do know a cheaper card printer but he does paper invites the old school kind.
If the printers made an error they should reprint ( if they are in error well spellings they should check but english would not be there first language so i don't know where to place the blame!)
if not i'd still get cards printed from pakistan :) if not PM me and i'll give you directions to the cheap dude or to the company that did my invites xxx
Re: Invitations ruined.
^ You can find online vendors that are significantly cheaper than that, I am sure.
Re: Invitations ruined.
one word .. my name was spelled wrong
but was too late cards had been handed out already..
o well.
Re: Invitations ruined.
Aww puts things in perspective! Form doesn’t sound that huge a deal now does it?Cuz then guests who don’t know how to spell ur name would miss spell it on everything else aswell:(
Wow such a response. It does bug me a little about the spelling considering how were paying for a service do should expect at least for them to get it right. Most people would notice but it's not such a big deal. But I STILL haven't found out the whole story as of yet. My mums flight is today so I will see her later this evening inshallah and will definitely find out what exactly happened. Will report back. Plus I'm more excited about all the wedding clothes coming back tomorrow!! Hope she brings back my valima outfit.
Thanks for all the helpful posts tho! Can't see who it was as I'm on my phone so can't name anyone!!
And also you can get cheaper cards online. I've seen cards for roughly about £1 that are nice and simple. I don't like being to extravagant on. Cards especially when people just bin them at the end. Would much rather put the extra money on nicer accessories! :)

definitely can find cheaper people online. But i did most of my shopping again in London ... my parents are not keen on online vendors :)
Re: Invitations ruined.
It all comes down to how disappointed or annoyed you are with the 'typo'.
We've received a few cards that have misspelled words, after being printed in Pakistan. I don't think we've ever made any comments other than laughing about how typical this is to have happened. So from a guest's perspective - I wouldn't be concerned.
However if you are someone who is likely to keep your own wedding invite and frame it or whatever, that would be different. You could either spend the money and get them re-printed; or you could laugh about it, and then every time you looked at it after the wedding, it would bring back the memories and you could laugh about it and the other silly things that are likely to happen in the process of planning a wedding!
Well my mums back from Pakistan (and so is my valima outfit :D) and she said the invites are being shipped over! And she got them to just reprint the slips so all has been sorted. This thread can even be deleted mod's! Thanks again for all the helpful comments guys!
