This is an invitation for all to come to India. IIT (Indian Institute of Technology)-Mumbai-India, conducts every year a Technical Festival called TechFest. This is get together for all technical people and events. People, who are into technical backgrounds, usually attends this festival. This is held in Jan 2004 for 3 days. The various competetions are :
1.Yantriki
Yantriki, the first and foremost college level competition in India that offers young robotic enthusiasts and connoisseurs, the platform to gain invaluable experience both with the technology and the practical elements that go into the making/automation of a robot.

2.Last Straw
Last Straw is a very unique event where the skill of participants with respect to design of structures will be tested. The motto of Last Straw is “Simple yet Stimulating” with all the competitions being designed with this in mind.

3.Chemsplash
Chemsplash is the Chemical Engineering extravaganza at Techfest. From what started of as a mere idea in the year 2000, Chemsplash has blossomed into an event which is now the biggest event of its kind in India. Check out the details about various competitions like Chem-e-car, Hugh Spirits (chemically powered lift), Turbulence (a quiz contest), and many more.

4.Open Hardware
Ever got your grey cells working on actually making a machine. 5.Open Software
Creativity, high problem level, marketability, your presentation skills, and industrious efforts, if you and your software excel in these, then Open Software is the right place for you. 6.Contraption
It’s all about getting mad at work, to create an intricate and complicated device to do a trivial job, emphasis being on creativity, novelty and most importantly ‘complexity’.This competition is an open challenge to the geeks to design a machine that will perform a trivial task in a circuitous and round about manner. The task defined for this year is ‘to light a bulb’.

7.Krazie Idea
This is a contest to bring out the absolute tech mavericks in you. Think the unthinkable is the theme behind this competition. Participants will then have to present a reasonably feasible solution to the problem statement on paper with proper justifications, considering the technicalities and economics involved.

8.Water Rockets
If have the notion that rocketry is a complicated science and is not your cup of tea then RETHINK. This is a competition where you get to learn the science of rocketery along with fun in a simple manner. All you have to do is construct a simple rocket driven by thrust from compressed air acting on water inside the rocket.

9.Kurukshetra
The contestants will be required to programme their own Software Bots in Java which will struggle for survival and victory amongst each other. The ultimate goal is the demolition of your opponents bots and all you need to possess is sheer genius and a bit of Java.

Ever wondered how the great scriptures of the world were created! We provide a chance to explore a creator, a designer in you. 13.Dirt Racing
Participants have to build a prototype of the actual rally cars that can successfully endure the rough and treacherous terrain and be the fastest to do so. It should be battery powered and remote controlled. An exact problem statement with all the details will be available soon on the website.
