Pakistan is politically unstable and current govt can go home by end of August or September, so take your money out of businesses and go home packing. Local investors should also pursue different investment options abroad as the political future of this country is bleak.
Many of newly inaugurated infrastructure projects are going to be freeze due to change in govt, so duration or power cuts is going to increase. Means in investing in production sector can be disasters.
If govt falls, and new elections are held, and again NS is able to form govt in Punjab and/or in Center, the unrest shall continue. If IK or any other party won and able to form govt, then for sure NS and his party won’t let that govt survive either and use whatever means to bring it down.
Unemployment shall be rampant, hence alarming increase in street crimes is predicted.
If Ch. Brothers comes into power, be ready for another Flour and Sugar and Fertilizer crisis.
Solution
Army should takeover, ban all kind of political activity, leadership and activists and NGOs and fund raising for 20 years or more. The new govt should comprise of:
Law and Order Situation - Ex-Judiciary should be put in-charge.
Foreign and Internal Affairs - Military
Infrastructure Development - The CEO of FWO works
Industrial Development - The CEO of Fauji Foundation
Transportation - The CEO of NLC transit System
Railways - The CEO of NLC transit System
Shipping - Ex- Admiral of Navy
National Security - Army Chief
Aviation - Ex- Air Marshal
the govt should work on Dams and should develop gold and coal mines. Any protest if raised from any ex-political figure should be dealt as national security risk.
Pros
This way, in 20 years time we shall be able to get rid of NS, Zardari, IK, Altaf Hussain and all other political dirt created by ex-army dictators.
Cons
New leadership will emerge with different name but of same political acumen.. means same idiots will start from square one.
Benefits
Long Run - None
Short Run - Economic Bubble
Bhai jee, just back from Egypt and assessing the over all situation in the country, We had investments in Egypt post-Arab Spring era, those were badly hurt and now down the road, the martial law is back, the ministries are again with the same corrupt old regime with new faces and names ( not to mention asking more commissions and kick backs) and people are happy that the stability have came back to Egypt...
same is the story of watan-e-aziz... where political instability has always been a hurdle to long term foreign and local investments... hence, all govts try to adopt short-term projects for which people of Pakistan pays dearly...
right now, NS govt is investing in panic-mode and that is to get project started without taking proper measure and/or negotiations... this is all to gain sympathy if thrown out of power... and if they are thrown out of power and military doesn't come... then rest assure the new elected govt after this would have same fate... so why wait till then... just get rid of all these politicians and bring the true masters and let them rule for 20 years... without any political resistance....

ساری دنیا میں سرمایاکاری کرتے ہیں اور پاکستان کی باری معاشی قبض ہو جاتی ہے.
اگر شرم ہوتی تو...
Is Pakistan's political future safe? i mean political goonism seems to be all time high, all parties are trying to show their muscles... that means more death and destruction for Pakistan, same can be rephrased as "Qurbani" by awam, whilst leadership and their aal-aulaad enjoy the elite life style of US and UK.
40% reduction in oil prices, this should be cashed in and cost of production should go down.. but can there be any manufacturing or production or business activities if things continue as they are..
Chinese and other foreign investment in power and infrastructure project is life-line for Pakistan, with the turmoil, it is going to fade away and result would be darkness and destruction
