Investing in KSE from the US

Ok who knows how to invest (easily) in either the KSE or even the Chinese stock exchange (I guess its the Shangahi) from a US investment account.

Re: Investing in KSE from the US

The easiest way would be via mutual funds. There are plenty of mutual funds available on chinese equities. There are a few funds which also invest in KSE.

One word for you ETFs

Re: Investing in KSE from the US

but how do I get EFTs in America linked to the KSE or the Shangahi Exchange? Not really interested in mutual funds as I would like to directly track the stock exchanges and see how they fare with my mutual funds largely invested in developing countries

Re: Investing in KSE from the US

Yes there are many funds that trade specifically in Asian Equities. Though I notice that the growth rates in these funds is dissapointing to say the least. For example, teh RBC Asian Equity Fund has growth rate of 7.4% since inception. Not exactly going to knock you over with that.
BTW I would be VERY reluctant to ever invest any money in the KSE, its boom is due to extremely poor regulation and has very little to do with actual financial growth from everything that I've heard. I would say keep any Asian investments to Japan, South Korea and perhaps China.

many fin. companies have ETFs of foreign markets. i'd recommend the Barclay's iShares.
