Are there any invasions from Sub-continent to other parts of the world?
If not, what have been the reasons for this? Were people of sub-continent always peaceful though we got warrior communities like Pashtoons and Jats?

Yes aside from Takeaways and taxi drivers.
JK
Indian armies did launch invasions into ancient Burma and China but they were often beaten back by the native forces. Chandragupta Maurya was famous for having thrown back the Greeks from India and as far as the Hindu Kush.
In Medieval times however India was at a disadvantage… mainly in the weapons department. Other nations had developed better weapons but the Subcontinent was not prepared for these new weapons or techniques of warfare. Few armies from this region ever possessed heavy cavalry or shock infantry. In fact the only heavy weapon in Sub-Continent armies were Elephants used like tanks. Trouble was most medieval opponents were faster cavalry and posses anti-tank weaponry in the form of heavy bows and in some cases firearms.
Main weapon for Indian armies was the spear, great all round weapon for infantry and cavalry but next to useless on heavily armoured opponents. Firepower was in the form of Bamboo self bows in the South and some flatbows in the North as well as primitive Longbows. Unfortunatley these were no match for Turkic, Arab and even Chinese bows that were of greater range and power.
Indian armies also went through many changes in these times but they were tactically not as mobile or aggressive as thier opponents. One of the greatest problems was small states fighting each other and always making it easier for invaders to take advantage.

british caste appeasement. they made a list of "warrior castes and tribes" to gain the loyalty of those that didn't rise against them in 1857. even certificates were awarded, so one could show off and board the railway trains in second class instead of third class as brave warriors. :D truth is, most jatts are farmers, most pashtoons are pastoral nomads. warriors don't generate any worth for the economy. and without an economy there is nothing to defend.
as for invasions out of the subcontinent - if you look at the geography of the indian subcontinent, there is only one outlet/inlet - via the khyber pass region. there are no agricultural areas once out of this region. just pastoral land. the iranian plateau is dry and deserted. there is nothing for hundreds of miles worth conquering. the indus and ganges plains by contrast were the opposite. agriculture from millenia had enriched the lands and the cultures of these parts.

So its the prosperity of land that kept people content and didn't think of invasions

Are saying meat eating made them invade other countries?
Re: Invaders from Sub-continent
Well the horses definately did. ![]()
Most invaders were invariably hunter gatherers only the British bothered bringing supplies with them… every other raider lived off the land.
I agree with Queer geography played an important part indeed, the only other route was the Eastern Jungles and tribes there were always gonna have the edge fighting on home turf so yeah for anyone invading out of the subcontinent there was not much need to do so but plenty of raiders had good grazing and plenty of good farmland to gain if they had the strength to take it.

Not just eating meat but capturing animals and slave people was a big incentive in those days... besides tribes needed to fight something else besides each other too.

Then whats the reasononce they have conquered sub-continent, they could not be able to conqueror other territories? Were their lust for properties ended with the wealth they got from sub-continent or is there anything in atmosphere of subcontinent that made them lazy?
Re: Invaders from Sub-continent
Well many were driven out of thier own lans by stronger people.
First the Saka came becuase the Persians pushed them out, then the Chinese pushed out the Huns and Turks. Ghengis Khan was probably the only one not pushed out but he moved out anyway for the hell of it since he did spend his youth being hunted by other tribes and tartars. The Mughals were chased out of Central Asia by the Uzbeks who were technically thier cousins but many invaders came that way becuase they had little choice. Babur and those of his like ended up in the Subcontinent more by bad luck than anything although you could argue it was perhaps good luck too although not for thier victims.
Re: Invaders from Sub-continent
environment, and sub continent was famous as golden bird back few centuries ago. earth is also fertile therefore many invaders from afghanistan opted it as new country and ruled for centuries.

Babar didn't like anything of India, but stayed because he got tough time from Uzbeks. Do you know something about Uzbek Sheebani Khan who kidnapped Babar's sister Khanzada Begum and married her. He chased Babar on every front.

Its strange the conquerors were conquered by the land and atmospher, but that did not happen for all invaders. Ghaznavi din't stay here. Nadir Shah and Ahmed Shah Abdali only came here to loot and went away after destroying to local cities and snatching whatever the valuables locals possessed
Re: Invaders from Sub-continent

there wasnt much outside of the subcontinent within reach that would justify the risk of taking along an army that needs to be fed etc. for eg., the closest city worth invading outside would have been kabul, for the rulers of punjab. if they had the resources to go to war, they could instead invade sindh or gujarat or rajputana or delhi or even kashmir with much much less of a risk to reward ratio.
