Hi, My name’s Naureen and something about me…

**Introduction: **Born in Abu Dhabi, UAE, i got my basic schooling from the Sheikh Zayed School, till grade 4. My mom then sent me to Karachi, to live with my grandmother and two of my elder sisters who were already here. My dad was in the Arab Army and we had a small house at the Al-Dafra Base out in the desert, so it was more practical to be in Karachi.

**Academics: **I finished my high school from Beacon House Public School in 1992 and joined the RLAK Govt college for Bachelors and then Masters in Foods and Nutritional Sciences, which i finished in 1999. Then I enrolled in a few nutrition courses in CUNY - Brooklyn College for a year.

Career: For the last 6 years, I have been working in the field of development as a public health nutritionist, working with various NGOs (Aga Khan Development Network) and semi government institutions. I am currently working with the Aga Khan University Pakistan.

My area of interest is human development with a particular focus on the effects of malnutrition in early child development.
