A lot! With every twist occurs an experience and with every experience comes a lesson.
1- In your lifetime, one person will take you for granted.
2- No one understands you best, except for yourself.
2- Wherever you go there will be people who like to talk trash. You have to protect yourself – no one has your back.
3- Trust. If it’s not there, leave.
4- Take care, cherish and love the special people in your life.
5- Be strong. Through whatever it may be, always keep your head up high and believe in yourself and in your God.
6- Happiness comes with no boundaries.
7- Admit your fault and seek forgiveness from the one you’ve hurt.
I can go on forever:clown:

Re: Introductions

^Pyari^sii^Bachi^

**Introduction: **My name is Sadia and I am 19 years old. I am the third of 6 siblings (6 :O yes, I know. Mashallah). It starts from a 21 year old sister and end at a 4-year-old brother. I post a lot of pictures and videos of my 4-year-old brother, faraz, so some of you may know him. I was born in Islamabad, Pakistan and spent the golden years of my life there. The family values, the connection with the religion, and the get togethers with cousins and family, are all that I never really found in Canada. In 1999, we decided to move to Toronto for “better education” which is common reason for many.

Even though, I came to Canada at an early age about 11-12 years old, I still feel a very strong connection with Pakistan which can never be replaced (thanks to gupshup for that). I would say that I belong to a very open-minded family, and my parents don’t have many restrictions or rules but I still like to keep close to my religion and the cultural values. Many times people are deceived or rather judge me because of the way that I appear or dress which is too in touch with fashion, but it’s really not the case from inside. I love talking to people that I can really connect with, and am very observant of others (I guess I have a psychologist in me). I think the key to be successful in life is not to judge other people and keep your patience handy at all times, cause when a dog bites you don’t bite back!.

I have had my high school phases of trying to be really cool and fitting in with the crowd but as I look back, it makes me almost laugh out loud at myself. I have finally figured out a safe place for myself, which is to be a Pakistani and muslim more then anything. Other then that, I am just a happy-go-lucky person who wants to enjoy life and let others do the same as well.

Education: Finished highschool in 2006. Staying back for a semester. Starting University (Psychology) in September Inshallah

Work Experience: Tim Hortons, Guess (current)

Things I can’t live without:

  • Food
  • Family
  • My baby brother
  • GS
  • Shopping!

*How I bumped into GS?: **I really don’t remember. It was around 2001, I randomly ended up on the forum when I was searching for something on google. I read posts and checked it daily for a year, and finally became a member in 2002. Anyways, since then it’s become a habit to check GS atleast 10 times a day. At one point, my brother was so fed-up of me being on gupshup, that he got his friend to lock the website on our computer but I had my ways…. :D. Anyways, I have seen many GS members come and go and have my favorites as well. Also, there’s many GS members that I know A LOT about but they don’t know me at all as I don’t post much. *evil laugh

My Favourite GS forum(these days):

Umer

Introduction:

My name is Ahmer Khan, but all my friends and relatives call me Umer. I was born in Vienna (Austria) in February 1978 as the first child of my parents (GS nick of my father: Cricket). In October 2003 I got married to my wonderful wife (GS nick: Mrs. Umer) in Lahore and in July 2005 my son Ziyan was born in Vienna. I have one sister who is almost two years younger to me and lives in Pakistan with her husband. I also have one brother (GS nick: Nasir92) who is almost 15 (!) years younger than I am.

With the exception of a few holiday trips here and there I spent my entire childhood and teenage in Vienna. In 2001 I temporarily moved to Lahore to work at a computer college as a guest lecturer for one semester, which was a wonderful experience. After 6 months in Pakistan I returned to Vienna to complete my MBA.

Last year I accepted a job opportunity that resulted in our move to Dubai in June 2006. My parents and my brother still live in Vienna, so I try to visit them frequently.

In general I really like travelling. Therefore I am glad that my job gives me the opportunity to do that every now and then, which is good, because on the other hand I wouldn't like beeing in planes and hotels all the time either.

Capricorn's Introduction Updated

Rasmalai4me

Introduction: I was born in a small village in Pakistan, somewhere close to the city of Gujrat. Our village was extremely limited; it lacked hospital, school, and many other essential things. Yet we were extremely happy, people there cared and respected each other. Most importantly everyone treated me as if I was a princess; I didn’t give them a choice. I miss that place. Abu jaan stayed in USA most of his life, they would visit often and every time they went back it was our EID not matter what time of the year or what day it was. And obviously every time he was packing to come back to USA I would suggest different ways they can bring me with them, such as pack me in his bag as well.

So finally in 1993 the process of visa started for the entire family. It was by far the most dreadful experience of my life. Oh, I can go on and on about what we went through, but I am sure many have experienced it and know what I am talking about. Anyways why were we rejected our visas every time we went to the embassy? The reason is me. They seemed to think I was not part of the family.

Disappointed and feeling guilty I asked my family to leave me with the relatives and they should come. When Abu Jaan found out they said if I don’t come no one will. In April of 1997 our journey was complete we arrived in NYC, where Abu jaan with 5 other families waited to greet us. After 1 year we decided to move to upstate NY. It is a decent place, and we are doing well here MashAllah, but sometimes it seems a bit boring especially when comparing it to Brooklyn. Ever since we moved to USA, I have never been back in Pakistan, because of education etc. I did not even go for my sister's wedding crying because everyone went in December right when I was taking my exams. But I have my hopes high now because one of cousin is getting married this year.

**Education: **I recently graduated from a university in NY with a BS in biology. I have always been confused about what I want to do, but I have finally made up my mind about attending a pharmacy school - now if only I can get in.

**Professional experience: **To be honest not a lot. While studying I used to tutor math, and help out at the family business. Now I work part-time at CVS pharmacy and once in a while help out at either one of the businesses.
**Extracurricular: **Once upon a time I was the VP of MSA club in our college, and I often volunteered in the ER. Now, I do nothing much other than talking. Hi Allah writing this is making me realize how little I do since school has been over. Oh, I work out daily at this gym I joined one day, after arguing with everyone I knew. I feel bad not going now because I paid so much for it. I mean I can just use the gym at my school for free.

**GS: **I was searching for a song and somehow ended up on GS and joined the next morning.

Additional: I’ll be nice and share a little something about my personality. I am straight forward type of person jo dil mein woh zubaan par kinda thing. Everyone around me thinks I am very innocent, but how would they know ;) I never realized I like writing about myself so much, I could easily extend this to couple more pages but I think I should spare you all the agony of reading it.
