I think its a great idea if implemented with some strict policies.
Just sharing hobbies, work-related issues, general information and day to day dealings can be very useful.
so why not.
but again there need to be limitations.

Thanks for your inputs everyone. Yes limitations will be imposed and it will have to meet some strict guidelines. I will discuss it more with cafe mods as to how we will implement this idea. My original post will give some ideas as to what I have in mind and I expect but as always you all can reach me via PM to ask any questions you may have.

Ok, we are going ahead with it. I will be posting my introduction shortly and that should give you guys some idea about the format. Please try to adhere to some similar paragraph.
i.e. Start from your name, where you were born and you are living, for how long. Schools and/or university you attended. Your degree. Educational achievements. If you are a professional, your job title and company you work for. Extracurricular activities. Whether you are a volunteer or part of any organization. Hobbies etc. Anything else you'd like your fellows to know about you.
ALL ENTRIES SHOULD BE SUBMITTED VIA PM TO EITHER ONE OF CAFE MODS: SHIKRA, PHATIMA1, OR SHEEN.
If you have any questions, please don't open threads, simply send any one of us 3 a PM and we'll be glad to answer your questions for you.

Here are some guidelines:
Name (FIRST only, unless wished otherwise) - strongly encouraged to post real name FIRST ONLY, but nicks will also be sufficient.
Introduction - where born, when moved etc.
Educational achievements **- Degree (or whatever is being pursued) is a must, university name is optional.
**Career - Job title is a must; organization name is optional
Extracurricular - If part of any clubs, organizations, volunteers etc. It's optional.
Something else about them - If they'd like us to know something else about them. i.e. married, hobbies etc. This is optional as well.
