Okay here is some thing i talked about in past and couldnt really keep up with the thread, and it ended up a discussion about Pak domestic cricket…anyway…what i really…have been thinking about is the the way pakistani cricket has been running for 52 yrs…we created a culture that supports players at youg age…we introuduce them at international level very young…and thats how it has been eversince…i have been a great fan of system till some time last Yr…i just started thinking what if we let a player play first class cricket for longer than we normally do…and let them play for 6-7 yrs at most…have some other playerrs with team…just to give them a feel of international scene…this is what we are doing anyway for last few yrs…like we see same faces ovar and ovar again…some players who were introduced at very young age …are dropped after couple of failures…we either drop thm…and then recall them…or keep them with the team…reason we dont egt rid of them, coz we think they are talented…fair enough. but the disadvantage of this is that seniors are guarnteed of their places and the juniors know that even after bad performances …its not the end of the world and they will still be given chances later…this is how it has been for few yr…
The recent successes of Pakistani team has supported my idea…look we got rid of alot of playes…and replaced them with some players we have already tried in Past…and rebuilt the team…so i am quite sure that this way of selection would work, coz there is just tonz of talent available in Pak…
I dont know if i m making alot of sence i’d think and write more about this, but ihave to run to walmart to get some under-shirts.
