talk to u parents, tell them that u guys meet online, and that u really like him. Also that u would love to introduce him/her to u guys asap...so u can get their blessing and go forward this guy/girl. n pray both parties like each other. :)

I tell the truth. What I do my whole family knows. I don't do anything behind back of my family.

This brings back horrible memories for which I can thankfully giggle about now...11 years later lol!

My parents knew I was dating and very interested in my hubby and once he proposed, my parents had us over for a barbeque. Things were going just fine, everyone seemed to be approving and getting along really nicely.

Then I HAD to tell them all that my intended quit smoking...that he didnt even need the prescription from the doc (it was for Chantix) but I said "he didnt even need that medicine, you know, Viagra...he did it all on his own"

O.M.G. you shoulda seen the jaws drop. I wished for the ground to open up and swallow me.

Just tell your parents that you met him/her and like him/her and want you guys to approve.

It’s difficult to determine if someone is being honest online because you don’t have the verbal cues to guide you (the self proclaimed blue eyed beauty who keeps you awake at night has a ghastly squint).
It’s easy to pretend you’re someone else (the daring maverick is in fact a shy timid recluse).
Furthermore your fantasy can flourish and perhaps won’t match reality.

On the plus side you get to know the person before you meet. It’s a pure emotional attachment and you don’t have appearances to cloud your judgement. In my humble opinion complexions are unimportant, beauty is only a light switch away (more about the sensuality rather than appearances as all the married folk will testify).

Waterfall tell them the truth, don’t conform to stereotypes (conventions) to satisfy others, as long as you’re happy.
