I already let the matter drop. She was pretty vehement in her refusal. It had to do with a fact that he couldn't speak or understand Arabic and was not much familiar with their culture. I met up with her this weekend and she told me that she would prefer someone from her culture but "white men" will also be given consideration. That was something I did not expect because white guys would have the same language barrier and unfamiliarity with Arab culture.

You have to realize for Arabs the hierachy is somthing like this based on their perception from friends in Saudi
