Are they comparable to intl fees at US/UK unis?
Re: Intl fees at Canadian universities?
It depends on the level and type of university program.
Differential fees for international students has hiked in the past 5 to 7 years due to Govt. underfunding, and in professional schools like business, medicine and law, the differential is far greater than other schools.
The average international student fees at the undergraduate level is around $12K per year, but can go up to $18K if you’re talking about professional schools.
For graduate students, you’re looking at around $22K per year for normal programs and around $30K for professional programs.
I’m sure StatsCanada website might have more exact numbers if you’re interested. The above are estimates based on what I hear day in and out in my university administrative committee meetings etc.
Re: Intl fees at Canadian universities?
Seen.
Does Canada have taught MA's as end degrees like the UK, or is it more Yank-ified with the MA usually being a marker enroute to a PhD.
Re: Intl fees at Canadian universities?
yep... there are both taught- as well as research-based MA degree programs.
