I have a question which will hopefully be answered by mature members of this board that have some authenticate knowledge. It is in regards to Oral sex and its permissibility in Islam. I have noticed that most persons jump to the conclusion that it is wrong, or forbidden in Islam. I do understand that it is clearly stated in all listerature that Anal sex is not permissible, nor is sex during the mentrual cycle of women; however is there any firm hadith or quranic verse that prohibits oral sex? Whenever you read about the topic, the answer seems to stem from the personal belief or opinion of the author. Can anyone let me know where there is information regarding this topic? Thanks.

I may not be knowledgeable, but am surely mature. And I have not seen any verse remotely prohibiting oral sex. On the contrary, Islam encourages the sensual aspects and concerning such relationship and Indian scholar, Walliullah Dehlavi, in explaining the occasion of the revelation of this aya
"Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth (have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus), when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allâh to bestow upon you pious offspring) before you for your ownselves. And fear Allâh, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad SAW)." (2:223)
says that
'The Jews had unnecessarily restricted the postures of sexual intercourse without any divine authority. The Ansars being their freinds, followed their practices and used to say, 'if a man has intercourse with his wife thru vagina while he is on her back, the child will have a squint.' Thus the verse, "so go in to your tilth as you will" was revealed, that is it is immaterial whether the husband is on top on on back, as long as the intercourse is thru vagina, whihc constitutes the tilth. This is so as these matters are nothing to do with religious practices or social policy but are entirely a matter of personal choice.' (Hujjat Alla al-Baligah vol 2 page#103)
So just like it is not religion function to define the 'positions', likewise oral sex, in my opinion is a passionate expression of one love to another. And I dont see any reason why it should be haram or forbidden.We kiss eachothers lips, eyes, cheeks, hands and what not. What is wrong with touching and fondling the private parts. It is stricktly a matter or personal choice.
