Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/pakistan/content/current/story/266665.html

Shocking statements made by Intikhab Alam regarding someone’s private life. If this was his basis of punishing Shoaib then its totally not justified.

Intikhab rubbished speculations that the panel was unfairly harsher on Akhtar than Asif. “If people read our statement they will understand,” Intikhab asserted. "He [Shoaib] drinks alcohol, has an active sex life and he’s been part of anti-doping awareness programmes. Shoaib has been around for the last ten years and the written statement that his spokesman gave about him taking dietary supplements and not consulting a doctor, shows he was negligent.

And he goes on to make another weak excuse regarding Asif.

On Asif he said: “We decided to ban him for a year because his English is not that good, he comes from a remote village where he would not have been educated on the dangers of drugs in sport and so he doesn’t understand.”

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

I have few things to say about Mr Intekhab Alam. who the hell are you to say something about shoaibs personel life. if he is sexually active or alcoholic, thats none of your bussiness. your job is not to judge him about what he does in his bedroom. you are a sick man yourself.

*"If people read our statement they will understand," Intikhab asserted. "He [Shoaib] drinks alcohol, has an active sex life *
WTF does this have to do with him being banned. How the hell does this justify a greater ban....So happy to know that there were competent people like dumba$$ Alam in the tribunal...
I agree that Akhtar did wrong and got banned...just dont make these stupid comments taht discuss a person's private life in public....

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

It's absolutely useless to take into account Shoaib Akhtar's private life for the decision. Alam's statement clearly implies that Shoaib's private life was considered in the decision thus the verdict for Shoaib was biased and I'm quite happy to read in Cricinfo that Shoaib will follow Asif to appeal and they should as they have full right to do so.
If the appeal is considered by both players and it seems very likely, so there will be a new commission setup by PCB and we hope that commission decides independtly of any bias and comes on a clean verdict.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

clearly he (Intekhab Alam) not gettin any

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

lol...Shoaib has had several disclipinary problems with PCB and ICC, Don't know why he had to bring his sex life into it...I mean Eeeeewww, How can anyone have sex with Shoaib, that's nasty, lol, just look at how he looks...my my.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

A cheap blow, making an issue out of something thats not even related. So Imran Khan did all those things in his playing days, does that make him a bad player ? Think hard before you answer baldy. Shoaib's personal life should have had no bearing on this case, as also stated by the tribunal earlier during the investigation that they would not listen to rumours and would come to a conclusion based on evidence presented to them by Asif, Shoaib and their representitives, if any. Asif, unwisley did not have anyone representing him and Shoaib also unwisely had a doctor represnting him. Both should have appointed lawyers. After this statement Mr. Alam should not be considered to be part of any further tribunal set up by PCB or for that matter any other position in PCB if he can not act responsibly infront of the media.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

So according to Mr. Alam, in Pakistan, there are 2 forms of punishment for cricketers taking banned drugs:

-2 year punishment for players who are alcoholic and have acitve sexual life

-1 year punishment for players who come from villages and can’t speak English.

Soon we will be seeing some other novel punishments, for instance a bowler who chucks and is married will be banned for 1 year, however an unmarried chucker for 6 months. A player who shows dissent on the field but can converse in English will be fined 50% of match fee, however a player who doesn’t speak english will be fined 100% of match fee.

Well done Mr Alam, for successfully making a complete a$$ out of yourself

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

looks like shoaib akhter nai Intekhab aalm kee bhains churiee hai :)
intekhab aalam, sarfaraaz nawaz etc)

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

Shoaib Akhtar shud have gotten double of whatever Asif would have gotten in any case, but y bring this up, he surely is an idiot.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

Yeah he himself is an ugly, insecure Bas*d and to make comments about Asif’s english is totally unacceptable. Khud Ullo ka Pathaa kahan say angraiz ki aulaad lagtaa hay, Sala Kaliaa **

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

i second the title of the thread

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

I don't wish to defend Intikhab's stupid a$$ comments, but I don't think that these were the basis of punishments, he just couldn't keep his mouth shut after passing the verdict and the hole (mouth) kept making noises out of frustration.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

why only in Pakistan, a person who gets a chance all of a sudden to speak in public looses it completely. inti, you got a second chance after a mediocre cricketing career and you lost it again.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

i think PCB made a deal with ICC. you pay ECB on our behalf and we will punish the dudes

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

The irony of it all, Intikhab is a heavy drinker himself. While I agree with the sentence handed to Shoaib it should be purely on the basis of drugs he took and not this other rubbish Intikhab has pointed out here.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

He made a complete mockery of a perfectly fine decision

The Borad who appoints such retards as a member of inquiry commision needs to clean its ranks

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

No the problem is he is not getting any. unlike shoaib. How far he can go with mere drinking.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

I agree with Intikhab Alam. The reason is that Shoaib Akhtar made a statement (contents can be read in PCB's full report) in which he himeself brought his 'drinking alcohol and active sex life' as a defense that his testosterone levels are due to his wild lifestyle and not due to intake of banned substances. If Shoaib used it as a defence mechanism then Inti has all the right to make it public.

The fact is that Shoaib Akhtar thinks it's KOOL to have such a lifestyle and doesn't mind making it public whereas some of you stuck up in the arse have a tight time fathoming the realities of life.

Re: Intikhab Alam, What an @$$!

What Mr. Alam is saying is not his opinion rather statement about Shoaib sex life and personal life is included by him (Shaoib) in his written statement.

Why Shoaib needed to include it? one must ask this question from Shoaib and his spokes person not from Tribunal. Why he felt the need of including "he drinks, have active sex life (though we knew he is not married and is a muslim, living in a muslim country). I personally think, under PAK hadood ordinance he should be PUNISHED since he himself admitted to adultary and drinking.

Alam should avoid statements. He was appionted to do a job and he did it. Now he should get back to his shell.
