najaane kyun mera dil ab udaas rehta hai
har gharee mujhe uska intezaar rehta hai

wo shayed bhol gaya meri sab baatun ko
par mujhe uska har kalaam yaad rehta hai

aksaar dil ki gherayi se usse yaad kerta hun
shayed wo bhi mujhe yaad karay , yeh guman rehta hai

usne bhi to kabhi mujhse muhabbat ki thi
jis ka mujh ko aaj bhi maan rehta hai

kyun meri yeh bekarai kam nahi hoti athar
kyun ab bhi uski wafa ka aitbaar rehta hai
