I don't think anybody was trying to force her to shake the guys hand. I'm pretty sure that she is in control of her own body.
With regards to it being 'forbidden' in Islam this isn't a hard and fast rule. Yes, where there is harm of provoking any sort of sexual enjoyment from the handshake then it is wrong. I'm pretty sure that this sort of reaction wouldn't surface in Ishi88.
And when has it been the case that just because the guy is a professer he should automatically know what goes and doesn't go in Islam? A majority of Muslims can't even claim to know every single aspect of their religion.
Believe it or not a handshake is considered as respect in many countries.
