Interview

I guess i am in the right forum. I have an interview, i would just like to know what sort of clothes would be appropriate to wear. Just let me tell you the interview is with one of the world’s biggest fashion brands, this is why i am a bit confused as to what attire i should carry.

Also i need to give my friend a mascara as a present, which one is the best in the market?

Re: Interview

Of all of the mascara’s I’ve ever tried the best one in my opinion is Mary Kay’s Ultimate Mascara. $15 IIt works reallyyyy well and never clumps.
Mary Kay® Ultimate Mascara?: Black

As for what to wear to the interview… If you’re interviewing at one of the world’s biggest fashion brands, then picking out a nice outfit shouldn’t be a problem for you. And if it is then maybe you should re-think interviewing for the job

Re: Interview

Phatima your comment about my interview reminds me of the movie and book Devil Wears Prada! Well the thing is it is a trainee job at first and part time, as i gradually learn more and more they are going to think about keeping me in the company. I think you ladies are well accquinted with Louis Vuitton? I seriously do have a problem in deciding what to wear to the interview, will they see if i am wearing branded clothes or not?

As for the mascara, i do not think it is available here where i live. Can you tell me another one of a big brand maybe?

Re: Interview

Maybe try Estee Lauder.
and omg you’re going for a job interview for Louis Vuitton?! :open_mouth:
p.s. i lovvve that movie devils wear prada (who doesn’t? :phati: )

Re: Interview

Are you a guy or a girl ?

Re: Interview

Alright Estee Lauder i can handle because it is a well known brand and is easily available here. Yes indeed for LV as you girls like to put it. In the R&D department and this is why i need help with my attire.

P.S i love it too, but then again i am a guy and people will think stuff about me so shhh do not tell this to anyone : )

Re: Interview

TLK i am a guy.

Re: Interview

Then why the heck were you confusing me with mascara talk :smack:

Black suit, blue shirt, red tie .. you can never go wrong with that attire ..

your goal is not to impress them with your fashion skills but your people skills.

Be traditional when it comes to dressing for interview

Re: Interview

Black suit with thin pin stripes. A crisp white shirt and a dark tie. Well ironed. Good tie knot (not like a samosa). Light cologne. A firm handshake. Look into the eye when talking. Talk with confidence.

Re: Interview

EW NO don’t listen to TLK! Too many solid colors! And you’ll look like the American Flag. And American means like NOT FASHIONABLE. You have to come across as European as possible to win their hearts over. =]

But I do agree with TLK. Stick to something traditional. Maybe a black suit with a white shirt and a light blue tie. OMG you know what! I always liked those skinny ties those reporters used to wear like back in the day like in just plain black. oh nvm. yea. Don’t listen to me I don’t know what I’m talking about. :phati:

Re: Interview

But if you get the job does that mean you can get free LV purses and sunglasses? =)

Re: Interview

Yeah can we get discounts?

Yup , Black, blue and red are 3 american colors

thanks for the enlightening Phatima :salute:

Re: Interview

Niksik, don’t ask for a discount. Ask for FREE STUFF! It’s all still so expensive even with a discount. :grumpy:

Re: Interview

Hmmm. I don't want to scare him just yet.

LOL omg I wasn’t even really paying attention. Black isn’t white! :phati: But red and blue automatically makes it american flaggish.

Re: Interview

Well i do not wish to look like an american flag when i have a british accent. I really like yours and Niksik's ideas. Phatima i do have one or two of those ties that you are referring to, so it is possible but would it look good with a suit and that also i am going to a Fashion House. Everyone around me says be careful it is Louis Vuitton and they are scaring me. I have no idea, i do not want to look too simple niether do i want to look like an Italian fashionista. So any other ideas?

Re: Interview

Go with a black suit, black shoes, black socks… white shirt, skinny black tie.

…and glasses.

Re: Interview

No no, no black tie. You’ll like an FBI agent :smack:

A red or maroon printed tie. Go to Nordstroms. They have great stuff for men (and women).

You are way too impressed with Agent Smith ..
