I’ve been doing interval training on the treadmill but no loss in weight, the inches are reducing(like 1 inch in 4 weeks)
my questions are how soon do you guys see results with interval training? how often do you guys do interval training?
I did change my diet added more fruits to it. I’m feeling really really demotivated how can I see results sooner.
you have to take into account your diet as well. If you are eating a well balanced, low calorie/fat diet and are training consistently....you can expect to see some results in 6-8 weeks.
^ I agree, you have to take our diet into account as well.
BUT your losing inches!so what are you complaining about girl?!
That means your building internal muscle mass , and that weighs alot more than fat, so the best thing to do would be to go by inches lost.
I'm sure your clothes must be fitting better as well, and you must be feeling better overall.
I LOVE doing intervals on my treadmill.
Also depends on how much you need to lose...a skinny person would not see the same results as an over-weight person would.
Just stick with it , do not get demotivated ,inshallah you'll see even better results soon.
the other thing i failed to mention is that often times you may end up gaining weight instead of losing at first because in actuality you are gaining muscle mass. Later at about 9 weeks you will start to shed fat and see more visible results.
so dont give up just yet....if you keep up at what you are doing...i assure you that iA you will begin to see results in 6-8weeks.
then you can come back here and tell me how happy you are that you didnt give up. :)
All good advice - it is VERY demotivating if you don't see the scale budging in the opposite direction. So once you know that you are gaining muscle - just put your scale away.
A better way to get motivated is to try on a lower size of clothing or go to the mall and you'll see how the clothes are fitting you better.
I always take out my shaadi clothes and when they fit - I am like "YAHOOOOOOOO"

exactly!
its not about the number on the scale...its about the way you fit into your clothes and the way you feel about yourself when you look into the mirror.
^ I second that. When you keep seeing yourself in the mirror, you might feel that you're not losing inches.. but when someone else see you they go like "wow, what have you been doing".
It is all about how u feel about yourself. Eat right and keep on exercising. Dont let the number on scale stop you from exercising. It may take some more weeks, months or even years. Keep in mind, its not because of the number on scale why u are exercising but take exercise as a lifestyle change.
thanks you all for such motivating messages, the clothes are fitting better but only around the waist. The chest and hips area there is not a whole lot of difference. Right now I am not doing any muscle building exercise I did try 30 day shred but just the squats near about killed me. I'm trying hard to stay motivated but the lack of inch loss on my hips is a real de-motivator.
