Interrail

I always wanted to go on a trip with an Interrail ticket, but never had the chance so far. Basically that is a ticket that allows you to use any train you want. all over Europe for a whole month.

So you’d get to see a lot of places with that. Anyone done that already?

Yes, its worth the cost.

You can get a Eurail Selectpass for up to 5 bordering countries for 15 non-consecutive days within 60 days – for visitors only.

I have taken advantage of single country passes one at a time. I added the city-pair fares and compared them to pass prices - the savings were enormous. More you travel, more you save. However, one has to keep the passport handy. The ticket collector may want proof that one is not a local resident.

^ I think, if I'd ever go for it, I'd get the complete package, ie the ticket for the whole of Europe. If I just had the time for it. sigh

Umer, me thinking of the same thing, visiting all of Europe either by car or the rail .. maybe next year.
