I did internship in Paksitan and boy! it was the worst experience of my life!

^ You must have had bad luck. I went to Pakistan for an internship as well. And in my case, it was the best experience of my life.

^ ^ you must have had a bad experience then. generally, the more you will put in your internship; the better it is going to get. ofcourse many factors are involved.

one of my friends did an internship back in pak (in one of the s/w companies) and due to that experience he has been able to easily get jobs over here in the u.s

ppl wrongly assume that they magically [somehow] will learn during the internship or the name internship is enough on their resume.

As a matter of fact, I put a lot of effort in my internship and took it extremely seriously. I did my internship at Standard Chartered and in the end they simply refused to pay me :) Not that I really care about the money but I was treated very unfairly, after all the hard work I put into it. I guess I paid the price of being naive.

Internships will only help you find the company's restrooms much quicker.

good that you gave ur 100%. the pay thing should have been decided before you started the internship. even if they refused to pay in the end you could have talked to them about it. and even if that did not work this experience would benefit you in many ways. extra money is always good but not good enough in the long run.

even a bad experience is a good learning experience in one way or the other. :~)
