i dont know much about internship but my sis got a job recently as cadetship and they are paying her good money. infact her pay is better than my bro's first job and she is also offered great incentives.
you should also be aware that employers do not train and dont like to train anyone. this is my experience. its costly to them.
you should wait few more weeks and try to get gud experience and than talk to the person who hired you.

well in cadetship you enroll in a course and start working as well. you work full time and study part time.
in my sis case she is studying accounting at parttime basis and working full time. employer gives her leave for exams and few hours off to attend classes.

Yeah. I know that might not have been what you wanted to hear. But theres a reason you do repetitive stuff for a year. You have to know ur stuff inside out then you can tackle the big projects

Definetly. Apply to everywhere - even if ur in doubt, still apply. btw what field is ur internship in?? maybe then i can offer some better advice.
