  2. Had to write 25 checks every month to pay the bills.
  3. Phone bill would be 300 dollars a month instead of 35 dollars a month.
  4. Would be sharpening pencils at work to pass time instead of surfing the net.

I would be watching more TV.
I would go to the store to get pictures printed so I can mail them to relatives.
I would be paying for hard copy of the newspaper.

Besides TV, I would scribble/doodle/draw. (waste paper basically)

people would have been not wasting their time on idle usage of internet.
and also be unable to make good use of the tool.
