Internet Freeze

Whenever I try to upload pics onto a website such as gs or facebook or even try to save pics from a website the internet freezes. I even tried on firefox and the same thing still happens…what do i do?

Internet freezes? or ur PC freezes ? using DSL or Cable? or still old dialup ?

dsl....ya internet freeze....it won't upload and then the page gets stuck and it says not responding....and then i have to close it out...

Oh, you mean the browser freezes. Well what I can get so far is that u have some kind of plugin installed that is trying to run when u upload/download pictures & that might be the reason, since it seems like pictures upload/download problem not other files.

for a painless procedure, uninstall yourfirefox with all plugin, then get a new copy from mozilla.com and install a fresh copy. Hope it helps.

but the same thing is happening on my other internet and when i change my display pic to upload a new one...it freezes...

there just pictures or even regular size word documents that i used to upload all the time...

what OS are you using? if it's XP, go to start and click default programs, restore your default programs IE as a browser and try uploading with IE.

Try the following: Delete the IE+ FFox history + all cookies. Uninstall any spyware remover you have.
Also try to disable hyperthreading (If you have it in your system :D )
Alot of installed fonts can also lead to problems :D

please post the specs of the system.

DP bhai: Lets go step by step. I understand the deleting part. Spyware? Where do I go to delete that? And how do u want me to post the "specs" of the system? Do u want me to run something like antivirus? Or ad-aware

As someone said, clear up IE cache, temp internet files, history and all cookies. Disable ActiveX and then try again. Go to IE > Options > Internet Options > Advance tab > Reset.

Run winmsd from command line and then copy System Informaiton. It should look like this.....

ok i did all that....and everything u posted from winmsd....its pretty much the same except processor comes up twice.....now what do i do? And how do u disable active x?
