Internet based cameras and Wifi

I am trying to help a family member in Business. They are planning on running a business absentee with 4-5 cameras installed around the store. Also they would like to provide Wifi service to the customers.

Ideally there would be camera hookups that would be viewable online so that they can login from anywhere in the world, while the WiFi would emit a signal for the customer in the local area. Should they purchase a computer and leave it in the office? Currently they bring a laptop to the office.

Any advise would be appreciated!

Re: Internet based cameras and Wifi

yes they will need a computer in store, which should be hooked up with a dsl connection.

here are few of available web cctv products

ISC365 - Quadrox QSR Web/CCTV KIT

WEBCCTV - Web Based Digital Surveillance Servers,Digital Video Recorder,Security System,Remote Surveillance,Security DVR,Video Surveillance Solution

UK and EU online store for IP camera, IP cameras, security cameras, network camera, network cameras, wireless ip camera, ip cam, IP CCTV cameras, CCTV security from Axis, Panasonic, Sony, Y-cam

Thanks so much for the response. DSL would useful for both the wireless router and the CCTV, I assume?

yes, since you will need bandwidth for CCTV UP streams and other netwrok traffic.
