Would you marry an internet addict who’s been spending atleast 2 to 4 hours everyday surfing on internet, posting on a forum, playing online games or on a social networking site for the past 10 years?
Also, how much time spent on internet for these purposes should be considered “normal”? I think no more than half an hour in a day, what do you say?
dude i know of people who have their internet/computer on ALL day and just go on whenever they want. it's weird and honestly i don't think i'd want my guy to be one of those who depend on socializing via internet. If he does work online or is taking online classes that's a different story but if it's because he can't go through the day without checking his facebook 10 times a day then that's not cute.
Re: Internet Addict
wouldnt marry an internet addict unless he had to work on a computer and required internet access all day. Like a stock broker or something like that.
Re: Internet Addict
Any addition that is expected to be short-lived is OK. People's addition changes from time to time. If its one of such case (most of the cases fall in this category), then there is no harm in getting married to such person.
Re: Internet Addict
marrying any kind of an addict is a big :nono:
so all human are out of question. Who should people marry ? animals? plants? trees?
Re: Internet Addict
^there are people who're not addicted to anything
P.S i'm not talking about short-lived/temporary addiction

2 to 4 hours a day everyday for the past 10 years seems a bit excessive but it depends on their situation. The most important thing to see would be has this person been neglecting their responsibilities in doing so? Also, another thing i would see is when are they doing this. If they're at home all day and they do it at a time when they're alone or they don't have any other things to do then I wouldn't mind. If they're spending all their time in these things, not spending time with the family etc. when they're at home, then I would not look at that favorably.
Otherwise I'd say 1-2 hours in a day is reasonable for this type of thing.

This. I wouldn't mind marrying someone who, say gets into an online game and then plays it on all their free time for a couple of months. But not for someone who's been doing that for a couple of years.
