International travel with your gadgets

What are some key things to keep in mind when traveling out of the country with your phones and laptops and kindles and tablets and cameras?

  • Make sure you have the right wall charger adapter. Available cheap on eBay.
  • Don’t forget to keep screen wipes (especially if you’re going to dusty countries lol. Or baby wipes.)
  • You may want to have spare batteries if you’re going to be out a lot and may be riding taxis or public transport. Most of us use our phone now for taking pics and recording videos so battery runs out much faster, and charging stations may not be available.

Make sure that you are aware of the connectivity options before you pack a gadget. Like I am assuming that a chrome book will be pretty useless if your destination has little or no wireless connectivity.

Re: International travel with your gadgets

Last time I went to Pakistan I didn't take any gadget with me.

Best post.

Or you can enable option not to use data while roaming.
That’s what I did for my last trip to US. I used $10 services on this trip including sms voice and may be some data under 1MB.

Same thing.

Re: International travel with your gadgets

1.Make sure you backup all your data on your phone and laptop
2.Make sure you delete pirated software, movies and music; and nasty pr0n.
