Awards, June, 25th, 2011 at 8:00 p.m.
This is an opportunity to be a part of the live IIFA Awards ceremony at Rogers Centre. The event brings together the awards presentation celebrating Indian film industry success from this year along with exclusive performances from top Indian stars.
I thought the first show looks more interesting then the awards show. In my openion not worth buying $49 or $79 tickets and squinting your eyes all night looking at the stage, as we all know how big the Rogers Centre is.
Re: International Indian Film Academy Awards - Toronto
Roger's Center is big but they always put those huge screens up. And frankly its just an opportunity to have a night out and be part of a large desi event.
Re: International Indian Film Academy Awards - Toronto
It will definitely be a memorable and fun filled night .....I remember going to Adnan Sami/Asha Bhonslay duo concert at Rogers Center and they had those big screens up. Although I could barely see the real them, but the amazing sound system made it all right once the singing started and found myself completely immersed into their voices and orchestra.

1947 - I understand your point and you are definitely right about saying where our money priorities should be. However, this same notion could be said about anything that is 'faltoo'. But do you think anyone will care about what you and I have to say? It's their $ and they decide what they want to do with it.

Giving money to Indians that they will spend in India meaning India's economy will benefit. Same India that broke Pakistan in half, same India that illegally occupied Kashmir.

Okay buddy, lets's not ruin this thread? If you want to discuss Pakistan vs India, please open another thread in Pakistan Affairs section. Thanks
Re: International Indian Film Academy Awards - Toronto
Wow, I didn’t realize the Ricoh Coliseum, Rogers Centre and Silver City Brampton (special screening being held here) were not making any money out of these events.
Re: International Indian Film Academy Awards - Toronto
^LOL.....since my work is sponsoring the event, you should see how many employees are dying to volunteer and half of them non-desi folks. The comments and emails are just swarming asking how they can volunteer at the events.
Canadians are so generous I tell ya :D
what's happening at Silver City Brampton? is there a link?
