My point is only that racism breeds more racism.

My personal value system does not allow me to profile people or be “vigilant” about people based on their profile. However, the police do profile people based on race. It does not make them racist to do so … but it is stupid and should not be done, because the stats forces them to view people under group headings. Everyone should be given their right to be treated as individuals and if people are not doing anything wrong they should be left alone. Stop and Search in its core concept is a threatening measure for society as a whole.

It so happens that in a given area more crimes are done by blacks … so a police officer may check more black people. As a result the blacks who are not intending to do anything criminal may carry weapons for such searches that they perceive as being racist. They may attack the police to defend themselves. Meanwhile, criminals will breed in this environment. The atmosphere will justify their ill intentions. As a community the blacks will start to be racist towards the whites, this will be felt by the whites and so on. Racism breeding more of itself.

There are some racist white people who join the police to exercise their racism and there are some blacks who feel all whites are racist and behave in a manner that even the whites who are not racist will despise them for the way they are being treated.

If I am victim of racism from the police - I will blame the individual … what tends to happen is that the victim blames the whole police outfit … or even the whole community of whites … The way to remove racism is to be very natural and trusting of all people as a default position. If people give bad vibes - it is probably a trust thing.

There is this white girl who works in my work place … for a good five months I sensed a lot of bad vibes from her … I guessed it may be a race thing … I just treated her nicely or in a civil manner and one day she saw me with a white colleague who I give lifts to in the morning to work and **that was enough to slowly change her mind **towards me. People need to be given the **opportunity **to see deeper than the skin. In order to do that interaction is a must.

We learn in Islam … No white superior to black or vice-versa, no Arab superior to non-Arab or vice-versa - except by good conduct.

We can destroy racism by dealing with racists in a way that shows them mercy and compassion - racists to me are like “barking dog” … The dog barks not because it hates me … but because it is unsure about me, it may be scared … showing it compassion will calm it down …

If anything profiling crimes should stop … we should encourage goodness in society and mix around a bit more - let people in to schools and centers and institutes and homes … and we will eliminate this problem. inshaAllah.

At least a couple of major flaws in this post.

What you ignored are that:

A- “STATS” you referred to still are based on racism. Hence if Police is reacting to stats, then police is reacting to racism spread like the mosaic pattern in to the society.

This means that using Stats in this matter is wrong.

Please go to basics and define where stats came from.

B- You said crimes are more committed by blacks. OK. What is the source of it? If Non-Black or White is not caught or released without being charged, then will that affect the statement you made?

C- No idea what color skin are you, but the white girl you mentioned is a RACIST. Please do not try to be politically correct.

Had you not been seen with a white person giving ride, she would have continued to dislike you.

She disliked you for something she did not share with you like “your looks”.

Again no idea what your look is like, according to you she stopped disliking you when she saw you with someone who is white.

This means your look is not white.

This means she is a racist.

Try not to sugarcoat it by saying people need to give others opportunity to see deeper than skin.

No. You did not by any means show her the opportunity to see deeper than skin, Nor she saw anything deeper than skin.

She remained a racist.

All you did was to pacify her racism inadvertently.

C: What you are asking people to do is to appease racism and hatred based on look in the end.
