so since we’re talking about individuals…
I knew this one guy that ministers to inner-city black youth.
he told me that the vast majority of kids were growing up with the mentality that if they didn’t cry “racism” they would have to compete with the rest of the communities in the various markets (school, work, etc) and actually perform. he said it was sad that in this day and age they continue to use this crutch.
he also found the attitude insulting to the efforts that historical figures had made to counter racism and prejudice.

neat huh?

Such anecdotal descriptions fly in the face of reality. One can always find such examples. Doesn’t change the fact the field is far from level.
