No book needed, but before you get yourself informed about the existing material available with us. You tell me how many Mullas referred to material and discussed that Rushdie is wrong while writing so and so. How many Mullas in Jumma Khutba give proper dars to masses? They do tell about ‘itne nafl paRho ge to itna sawab mile ga’. Majority doesn’t talk about revolutionary aspect of Prophet’s life.

So, a book or dars refuting such allegations is always needed.

You tell me who was the instigator behind burning of Banks and Cinemas in Karachi on yum e Ishq e Rasool? These Mullas who provoked people on streets. If these Mullas knew the power of book they have (Quran), couldn’t they channelise the protest in a better way. Our generations have been destroyed and we are still dreaming that there is no importance of book or imparting knowledge form already existing books.

I can assure you no other religion on earth scrutinize its text they Muslims do.

Frist person who recoded life of prophet(saw) was ibn ishaq, he put down all. With reference. Now there were people who lied and had opinion, those are recorded too.

Then through the science of hadees(a big tough… though discipline) things were scrutinised and made clear.
One Important part of science of hadees is , you discard any thing. You mark them!!!
You mark un verified events as weak.
But you leave them there, in case some other proof comes and weak get the status of strong.

So there are 3-5 things people like salman rushdi pick, There are recorded. But as far as I know, this story in not true. Non the less its recorded and KEPT BY MUSLIMS!!!

Our prophet(saw) was not figure of faith only, he had a real life with real events.

so in short there is no book needed. There is muslim scholarship there who do its work honestly and with great care.
