Re: Interesting Extracts from the Book - I’m Malala
You talked about Sir Syed ahmed khan and Shibli Numani. I can give u reference of Hazrat Umer (R.A) and Allama Iqbal And Muhammad Ali Jinaah, who defended Gazi ilam din.. ! They could have answered to Hindu’s bakwaas with book but both Jinaah and Iqbal stood up n joined hands for Gazi ilum deen cz sometimes u have to go out of the way to bar others from repeating it. Malala"s father used the word “Freedom of Speech” when he was talking about Satanic verses. Unfortunately, you can not remove it from her book, to support ur argument… If her father apologizes, i would be the 1st person to appreciate him… As far as solution is concerned, You can nt stop anyone through book when someone is talkin rubbish and bakwas about Prophet (PBUH). Yes, u can respond with book, but it wil nt stop them. They will throw ur “book Response” in basket n come with more ideas. Read human nature… You cant stop ths behaviour untill n unless u make them an example for others… For expamle, terry Jones, Salman rushdi, taslima nasreen , and US movie maker, cannt travel around the world cz they know, what will happen. So their Travelling destinations are limited. Everybody in ths world knows that these guys have been living under threat n their lives are at stake due to bakwas things they said in their books/movie/cartoon . It helped to stop many people from repeating it cz nobody wants to live under threat. Yes, respond them with book, but that is nt enough. You cant cönvince me, i cant convince u. Lets agree to disagree
First of all there is difference between the case of Ghazi Ilm Din and that of Rushdie. I hope you can trace the difference. That book was written in India and the British government of India refused to ban the book even after agitations of Muslims.
In Rushdies’ case it neither published nor was on sale in many Muslim countries including Pakistan.
